Pre-Construction Termite Treatment
Soil treatment during construction that protects a new building from termites from day one.
The cheapest time to protect a building from termites is before the slab is poured. Pre-construction treatment applies termiticide to the soil at each stage of the build — after excavation, before the slab, and around the perimeter before final landscaping — creating a continuous treated zone beneath and around the structure.
Treatment is scheduled around your builder's programme. We treat the foundation trenches and footing areas first, return to treat the filled soil before the floor slab is cast, and finish with the external perimeter once construction traffic ends. Each stage is documented with the areas treated, products used and application rates.
Skipping a stage breaks the continuity of the treated zone, so we ask for a few days' notice before each concrete pour. Bring us in while the drawings are still on the table and we will mark the treatment stages on your construction schedule.
What's covered
What to expect
We need two to three days' notice before each concrete pour. Rain within a few hours of a soil treatment can require re-application of the affected area — we monitor the forecast and reschedule rather than waste a stage.
Common questions
At what stage of construction should I contact you?
As early as possible — ideally when the foundation plan is ready. Treatment ties into excavation, backfilling and slab pouring, so it has to be on the construction schedule, not added at the end.
Is pre-construction treatment worth the cost?
Treating soil before the slab costs a fraction of drilling and treating under a finished house, and it protects the building from day one. In termite-prone areas it is the standard of care for new construction.
How long does the protection last?
The treated zone remains effective for several years. Gardens against walls, new paving cuts and plumbing leaks can breach it, so we recommend an inspection every one to two years after handover.
Testimonials
What customers say
The technician found the termite trail in the garden before touching the house, treated the nest, and showed me the mud tubes to watch. Eight months on, the monitors are still clear.
They moved our kitchen from monthly spraying to a baiting programme and the difference showed within a fortnight. The service reports after each visit are exactly what our auditor asks for.
