Wasps and hornets nest in roof voids, wall cavities, trees and soil banks, and they defend the nest aggressively. Honey bee swarms and established colonies need different handling — where possible we work with the local beekeeper to re-home a colony rather than destroy it.
We locate the nest, then treat and remove it. Wasp and hornet nests are treated with insecticide applied to the entrance at dusk when the colony is inside and calmest, then removed and disposed of safely. Bee colonies are assessed for re-homing before any control is used.
Safety is the point of calling a professional: nests high in a roof or tree need ladders, protective clothing and the right timing, and a disturbed nest can produce multiple stings in seconds.
