Millipede & Creeping-Insect Control

Treatment for the mass invasions of millipedes, centipedes and other crawlers that follow heavy rain.

After wet weather, millipedes move in their thousands from compost, leaf litter and damp soil — through door gaps, drains and pipe entries and into ground-floor rooms. They do not bite or damage the building, but an invasion of several hundred at once is distressing and needs breaking.

We treat the barrier line where they enter: the building perimeter, door and window thresholds, and the damp margins where they breed. An outdoor perimeter band plus treatment of the entry points stops the mass movement, and indoor crack treatment clears the ones already in.

The conditions behind the invasion matter too: compost heaps against the house, leaf litter in the gutter and poor drainage keep the population up. We tell you what to move so the invasion does not repeat every rainy spell.

What's covered

Inspection of entry points and breeding areas
Outdoor perimeter barrier treatment
Treatment of door and window thresholds and pipe entries
Indoor crack-and-crevice treatment
Advice on the damp conditions that attract millipedes

What to expect

Treatment works fastest when the perimeter is dry at application. Expect the visible invasion to stop within a day or two as the barrier takes effect.

Common questions

Why do millipedes invade after rain?

Heavy rain floods their soil habitat, driving them out in huge numbers. They follow damp routes into the building. The barrier treatment breaks the movement at the door line.

What customers say

The technician found the termite trail in the garden before touching the house, treated the nest, and showed me the mud tubes to watch. Eight months on, the monitors are still clear.

They moved our kitchen from monthly spraying to a baiting programme and the difference showed within a fortnight. The service reports after each visit are exactly what our auditor asks for.
